Polres Elektrik Üretim AŞ, was established in 2012 with all domestic capital to invest in the renewable energy sector, with an investment group partnership that is committed to producing and creating added value for its country and operating in the Production-Contracting-Retail sectors. In this sense, it started to invest in a biogas facility in Polatlı in 2013.
Being Turkey’s first biogas plant of 2.9 MW, this facility was planned on 110 decares of land, its construction was completed in 2014 and was commissioned in the same year. In the biogas facility, the wastes of the contracted bovine fattening farms are processed. If not evaluated, cattle droppings defined as waste are processed in Polres Biogas dışkıları, Facility and converted into clean energy and natural fertilizer. Thanks to the Polres Biogas Plant, these wastes become completely modern, sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Polres Elektrik Üretim AŞ, aims to complete and implement two more investments in the facility in Polatlı in 2018. In 2019, it aims to complement the heat produced in the heat centers by making greenhouse cultivation with a closed area of 15,000 m2 in order to ensure the environmental and ecological benefit efficiency cycle and aims to increase its electricity generation capacity to 5MW in 2023. With these investments, approximately 16,000 tons of CO2 emission per year will be prevented and 40,575,000 kWh/y clean electricity will be produced.
